When uploading Keywords and/or Creatives into the platform, the upload may fail and you may encounter the following error messages:
Invalid click-through URL: www.example.com
Property destinationUrl is not valid. The following constraint violations were detected Wrong format
What Causes The Issue?
- This problem most commonly occurs when the
http://is missing from the Click Through URL or Destination URL. - Another reason why you may see this error is because the Destination URL column is missing when creating new keywords.
The Destination URL column is required when creating new keywords even if you choose to use Creative level destination URLs, in which case you can leave the column blank.
How To Fix The Issue
You need to add http:// as a prefix to the Click Through URL or Destination URL.
For example, www.example.com should be re-uploaded as http://www.example.com
