The system returns this error in the following scenarios:
User uploads the same Yahoo keyword but in 2 match types – system will post one match type and reject the other.
- User has keyword ‘creation date’ in the Yahoo account and attempts to add 'date creation' but the upload fails.
- User tries to upload a plural or singular version of an existing keyword.
What Does The Error Mean
"Yahoo Error: Canonical search text is not unique" means Yahoo's MatchDriver technology has determined that this is a duplicate keyword and it has been rejected.
In the example below, broad matches for keywords ‘play sport’ and ‘sporting fun’, and exact match for keyword ‘outdoor sport’ already exist, so the system is throwing errors.
